Children's Day Celebration: Makulay at Masaya

Simple but meaningful Children’s Day 2009 celebration was held last November 10, 2009.  In spite of the rescheduling of the event due to typhoons that hit the City, the enthusiasm and happiness was still in the eyes of these 2000 little children.

An occasion wherein it showcase the wit, talents and creativity of children from various group and entities such as children from the various Day Care Centers, Children at Risk, Special Education class, Breaking Barriers for the Youth (BBY) at Stimulation and Therapeutic Activity Center (STAC) Beneficiaries.  The Dagupan City National High School – Special Program for the Arts (SPA) provided the entertainment and symbolically represented the Indian, Muslim, Korean, Chinese Community of the City.

Mayor Alipio F. Fernandez assured that the City Government and its partners would join its effort in making Dagupan a more orderly City, more livable for CHILDREN.  For he believed that proper nurturing and protection is not the sole responsibility of the City Officials but a shared responsibility of everyone in the City.

The celebration is in line with the annual Children’s Month last October with its theme “Bright Child: Proteksyon ng Bata, Pananagutan ng Bansa.”

Paragas 2nd Place in the Regional STEP Skills and Development Competition

Ralley S. Paragas, junior student of DCNHS – Special Science Class bagged the 2nd Place in the recently concluded STEP Skills and Development Competition – Electronic Poster Making, held last November 23-25, 2009 at Mangaldan National High School, Mangaldan Pangasinan.

Paragas, garnered 1st place in the same skills and development competition held at the Division Level at Dagupan City National High School – Computer Laboratory.  Artistic creativity and imagination is the key towards his success in the Electronic Poster Making using Adobe Photoshop he added.

All Systems Go for the 2009 Fiesta Ed City High Celebration

Preparations for the 2009 Fiesta Ed City High celebration are now in full swing.  The event is one of the highlights of annual month-long celebration of the Dagupan City Fiesta from December 1, 2009 to December 30, 2009.

A thanksgiving mass and a motorcade of the various alumni batches back to the DCNHS Quadrangle on morning of December 28, 2009 which will lead back the alumni to their Alma Matter.  Dr. Erly G. Datario the newly designated school principal is expected to deliver her Christmas message and encourage all the alumni and friends of Dagupan City National High School to join hands in promoting the quality education.  These noble task is not just the responsibility of the school but more so a shared responsibility of all its stakeholders in the local community.

    The event were the usual “Kamustahan” of each batches Class 45 to Class 09 would be for opportune time to strengthen the bond created during their high school days.  In the evening, the traditional Alumni Night will be held at the City Plaza. Judge Emma Torio and Dr. Erly Datario will welcome all the alumni back to the fold of their beloved Alma Matter Dagupan City National High School.
